Man is a social animal.
He is supposed to come alone and go alone but his journey from birth to death, is called life....smthn he is supposed to "share" wid others!Right frm our childhud, we come across so many ppl, whn v wer born, we wer surrounded by ppl, when we first rose to walk and had our first great fall, we wer surrounded by ppl..right from our kindergarten to lower grades to middle school to university, we have a certain set of THE most wonderful ppl with us called chums or mates or buds or FRIENDS!!









They say friends are the family u choose. How true, indeed! We embark on a journey called life knowing nobudy at all, but thru the course of the journey we meet PEOPLE. Some we like, sum we love and the others we loathe. And a bunch of those whom we love are called friends!!

Talkin abt myself, i rlly feel friends are indeed a VERY VERY major and integral part of your life, rather yourself! They know evrything abt you and accept you the way u are. The moments spent with chums are one of the most memorable moments which giv u innumerable memories to cherish later :) Talking abt my buds, i have spent some of the really wonderful, most cherishable, most fun, most embarrasing, mosty happy, most proud, most sentimental, and enjoyed all those emotions when my friends hav been der with me. This is me talkin abt my school life( which indeed was LIFE, at its best) as well as my college life( which i gues wud be another odyssey by the same name as the previous one..) :)) .Well ,what i love abt ma frnz is dat no matter how well or how rudely or how badly i behave wid em, they'd neva expect me to change. They adore me for the person i am. They have borne the happy gurl in me, they have consoled the sad girl as well, hav withstood my anger, they bear my most boorish nature wid a smile and supported me when i get the worst of my mood swings possible( aries nature, AHEM!) and most of all, they NEVER expect me to speak sense ;)). But dats about friends!! Those whom u luv and will be standing by thru thick n thin. But as man is a social animal, he is supposed to come across all kinds of ppl, Yu luve the ppl u seriously like but what abt those who are intolerable for some reason or the other.
AHA! thats the major question!!U come across people of different kinds- cool, dumb, smart, confident, swank, proud, ill-tempered, caring, selfish, loyal, luving, adorable, cute, ill-mannered, cranky, greedy,..and the list goes on and on..but the hypocrisy in people, that too still goes on.

Hypocrites-bigtym hipocrytes, n dealing wid them soo difficult n thats where diplomacy comes into play. Everyone aims to be at the greatest heights in life and people lose their essence, we run behind fame, lucre, jobs, love, lust, etc and see a totally transformed face of our own. People whom we met like five years ago seem to be totally changed humans..people keep up a facade that is so totally against their real nature. People change, they lose their essence and get totally converted to souls they themselves would never hav imagined!!

The race is on, the tracks are set..!

Whose ready to run and reach the final point, the point where u see urself with a brand new face??

AI... a boon or not!??!?

Well,artificial intelligence or AI in short appears to be a big boon fr this industraial era.AI is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science which aims to create it. Major AI textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents," where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions which maximize its chances of success.

The field was founded on the claim that a central property of human beings, intelligence—the sapience of Homo sapiens—can be so precisely described that it can be simulated by a machine.This raises philosophical issues about the nature of the mind and limits of scientific hubris, issues which have been addressed by myth, fiction and philosophy since antiquity.Artificial intelligence has been the subject of breathtaking optimism, has suffered stunning setbacks and, today, has become an essential part of the technology industry, providing the heavy lifting for many of the most difficult problems in computer science.

AI research is highly technical and specialized..The first impression is amazin as it appears to be a wonderful solution to many problems these days.WOW!!.Intelligent computers, sensible machines....man has exploited his virtue of being a "brainy" animal to create an artificial world.He is busy creating a virtual world where machines,which initially wer built to lend him a hand at things he wsnt quite dextrous.But offlate, man has been using machines to such an extent that thinkin of a life widout machines..NO!!.unimaginable.We're livin in an era where we are nothing but slaves to machines..instead of accepting this fact,man goes on to create now,machines which can think for themselves..

Several futurists argue that artificial intelligence will transcend the limits of progress and fundamentally transform humanity. Sounds true!..indeed if we're gonna b so dependent on machines,if v're gonna let them master our world..we'd c our kind fading away in a ghastly darkness..

Technology can and will b a boon if used properly, but the moment man thinks of extending his reach fr happiness and luxuries, it'l end up being a bane for mankind.

Dsnt sound all that enticing,ryt..!!??But,it's da need of the hour.The earth is over four thousand mn years old..humans hav grown a long way.Thru periods startin with creatures like the dinosaurs n then the Stone Age,now we have come to live in way developed times.We are living in a time,our forefathers wouldnt hav evr imagined.Man has exploited the magnanimous creation of God since the very beginning.Well,Nature is the most beautiful gift of God,and Man was one laudable creation of his.Man had been gifted wid the incredible power to think.Thinking and working,man has developed and built himself a wonderful heaven-full with the luxuries he cud hav barely evr imagined.Today,although our needs hav more or less been satisfied, our greed has absolutely no limits!!Our materialism has cut down the roots of our ethos, our nature to care n share seem to hav disappeared somewher in the thin air.We have become nthn but slaves to our very own creation-MACHINES!Considered to be the biggest boon, till some years back..they hav proved to be an equally major blight for mankind.
And all of it takes it toll on our precious and marvellous nature!!Man ravages the nature to give shape to his ingineous creations,without taking note of the peril that awaits us.I think it’s rlly time to start thinking about nature and to strt conserving it.The answers to global dangers like deforestation,global warming,draughts,tsunamis,floods,mass killings lies within our life circle.
Its tym to understand that what goes around,definitely comes around,…maybe wid a higher force.The more we harm nature, the more it’ll harm us.So, lets all pledge to save this valuable creation of God and respct it.Let’s pledge to GO GREEN!!!

Eve Teasing

PATNA Dec. 30 : A group of boys from Sikkim has lodged a complaint with the Barauni Government Railway Police (GRP) that girl members of their group were subjected to eve-teasing by anti-social elements on the Dadar-Guwahati Express during their return journey from a vacation on Sunday night.

NEW DELHI: In a bizarre incident, at least 12 cases of eve-teasing were reported from the north campus of Delhi University on Saturday.
Shockingly, the girls were harassed by police recruits who had come to take an entrance exam.

..these are just two of them.Just 2 incidents which show how unsafe the ladies of our country are.YES,particularly of our country.The expression “eve teasing” is of Indian origin, the wrd is not found in the dictionaries. And native speakers of English don’t use it.

A lady is supposed to be the greatest creation of God.She is a daughter, a friend, a sister, a soul-sister, a mother, a wife and life-long ,the list of relationships go on increasing in her life, and so do her sacrifices.

Yes, i'm talking of a LADY.They say, when God found Adam and Eve eating the fruit of knowlege, in the garden of Eden, he cursed both of them. But he cursed Eve saying that every girl born on earth will have to undergo the pain of childbirth. But,a woman takes that pain also as the biggest joy of her life.
India freed itself from the shackles of the British. Apparently, we've freed our nation from the so-called evils of the sati system, purdah system ,female infanticide and the dowry system. Look closer.., the reality is even more dire..
Earlier,women were suppressed and inflicted with the most gruesome of atrocities.Some of them died bearing the torture, some of them died fighting the carnage and some of them did make a difference.They set examples for the rest of the women.Inspiration, is what they gave the rest.They fought for thr rights and aimed for the stars. Today women are on the forefront, competing with men and proving that they are no less.. Women have landed on the moon. Reached for the stars and touched them. They have proved themselves equal to men in every way. Yet every 51 minutes a woman is sexually harassed. Every 21 minutes one woman is molested. Eve teasing is something that she has to contend with everyday.
EVE TEASING is a rampant social evil. It is all pervasive- beaches, roads, cinema halls, buses and sadly even in educational institutions. When eve-teasing persists even inside educational institutions, one can obviously infer that even the educated youth don't necessarily desist from indulging in this uncouth behaviour.
Innumerable rules have been laid for the safety of women in our nation.
Toss the news channels, every day there will definitely be news about a lady raped or molested or harrassed....

HOW SAFE ARE YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN IN OUR NATION???
indeed, a BIG question.They are NOT at all safe. Its not dat only the man around the street or workers or vendors indulge in such acts, the ppl who are "supposed" to ensure safety to the females are equally treacherous.
Remember,the Marine Drive Case which shocked the entire nation.
That was JUST one such case.There are many others, in our memory and some still in darkness.SAD, but such is the plight of the women in OUR nation.
Eve teasing violates a woman's basic right to live in dignity. Will women forever remain targets and victims of eve teasing? Will their rescuers continue to be unwilling martyrs to a dead cause? Till when can the females continue to live with this fear- fear of getting out of their homes, fear of travelling alone, fearing about their daughters..??TILL WHEN?

When spoken about such issues, a noticable point which comes into light is that a girl/women herself is blamed for any such unethical act inflicted towards her.Women are often criticised for 'inviting' molesters by way of their 'seductive' way of dress and make-up..OhCrap!
Women's rights activist Maitreyee Chatterjee says that even a burqah cannot guarantee safety. "Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code which mentions the arrest of a culprit for attempt to outrage the modesty of women does not have any condition about the victim's dress," she says. Filmmaker Anindita Sarbadhicari says that eve teasing and molestation are acts of perversion. "It is foolish to think that molesters get turned on by the victim's dress. Then why are there so many rapes in Islamic countries?" asks Sarbadhicari.

The power lies within. Most of the times it happens that in buses or other public places a lady is made uncomfortable by the malicious gaze of a male around. Inspite of brimming with anger, she controls it. This makes the male more confident. These kind of incidents are most likely to happen in public transport..a women must learn to defend herself.

Be strong. I believe one should never hesitate to fight or slap back. Ask d others around for help . Be loud and rude to the fellow(s). The crowd will automatically help u.
If you see a group of men hanging out, or a man who's making eye contact with you and trying to get your attention, take a detour. Better safe than sorry. Many have resorted to carrying pins, ginger sprays, chilli powder,pen-knives and even daggers as a deterrent. Others have taken self-defence classes and these martial arts do help!!!Fear is one big loophole in such situations. Facing it with courage maybe of a biig help. Face your fear, then you'll be ready to face any such situation!! Women are indeed the shimmering jewels in the vast population of our nation. They need to be cared for, and secure..!!
